The properties of the main types of stable orbits in generic models of barred galaxies are compared to study the possible shapes of self-consistent models. The models differ in their asymmetric background, bar perturbation, and angular velocity of the bar. Consideration is given to orbits near and inside the inner Lindblad resonances, nonperiodic orbits, orbits in a bar outside corotation, orbits in a spiral outside corotation, and orbits near corotation.
