A review on pulsars is presented in order to summarize developments which occurred after the review of Taylor and Stinebring (1986). The nature of pulsars, the properties of pulsed radio emission, the emission mechanism, and the morphological classification of pulsars are discussed. Also, consideration is given to the progenitors of pulsars, SN 1987A, pulsar evolution, binary and millisecond pulsars, pulsars in globular clusters, the magnetic fields of pulsars, and pulsar velocities.
