The complete linearization method is applied to the formation of strong
lines in the solar atmosphere. Transitions in Na(I), Mg(I), Ca(I),
Mg(II), and Ca(II) are computed with a standard atmosphere and
microturbulent velocity model. The computed profiles are compared to
observations at disk center.
