Scientific paper

A geometric method is employed to derive a formula which gives the
apparent angular shift in a star's position due to relativistic bending
of light rays in the gravitational field of the sun. Corresponding
corrections to the apparent positions of stars at various angular
distances from the center of the sun are presented.
