An analysis of the thick-target and thin-target models has been carried out. It is shown that the total number of electrons, their flux, energy, and other parameters determined by means of the models can differ from real ones by more than order of magnitude because of the impossibility of determining the electron-spectrum cutoff. The dependence between the source values and the radiation-region ones has been examined.
