A fast survey of the sky region between declinations 0 and +30 deg was carried out with a 22-m reflector at 8550 MHz over an area of 2 sr. The survey technique is described. A magnetic tape-recorder was used for recording the receiver output. The principal receiver parameters are reported. Davis' (1967) method of searching for sources was used. Completeness, reliability, flux density and position errors are analyzed. The same parameters are reported for reobservations of the surveyed sources in the selected areas.
