M10 is a globular cluster in the constellation Ophiuchus (the star 30 Ophiuchi is just 1 degree to the east-southeast). It was discovered by Messier who did not resolve any stars because it is fairly compressed. It has a diameter of 70 light-years but its bright core is only half that size.
