For cosmic radio sources, expressions are presented which describe their spectral characteristics with negative curvature. These expressions make it possible to determine various parameters of space plasma both for the sources proper and for the interstellar medium. Some physical mechanisms responsible for the negative curvature of the spectral characteristics of cosmic radiation are examined.
