Observations of the plasma condensation region in the coma of Halley's comet, made from Gurushikhar (India) using an image intensifier camera with a 37-cm reflector), are analyzed. The results are used to discuss the possible mechanism for the formation of the condensation region and to examine the relation of the condensation region to the subsequent tail activities.
