X-ray brightness profiles of galaxy clusters frequently indicate the presence of a hot gaseous envelope, and theoretical models predict that numerous low-mass stars will be formed as these gaseous halos cool and contract toward the center of the cluster potential. In this Letter, the optical surface brightness profiles of the halos seen in six cooling flow galaxies are modeled, and it is concluded that the optical profiles and mass-to-light ratios are consistent with the cooling flow accretion hypothesis.
