The motion of electrically charged test particles in the vicinity of a nonrotating, uncharged black hole in the magnetic field is studied. Regions of orbits stable with respect to small perturbations in the equatorial plane are found within the framework of an exact solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations. The relativistic concept of the Rayleigh stability criterion is discussed.
