CCD observations were obtained in March and November 1987 with the 0.9-m and 1.5-m CTIO telescopes in order to set up a photometric sequence near SN 1987A. The BVRI sequence consists of 18 stars with V magnitudes of between 9.8 and 16.8. The sequence can be used to calibrate photographic plates taken prior to the SN outburst in order to place limits on the magnitudes of the progenitor star of SN 1987A.
