The conditions of equilibrium of a current in the magnetic field in the integral form are considered. As it was shown earlier, the energy of the current above the photosphere is equal to the gravitational one of the plasma which is connected with the current. This conclusion is generalized for the case when the chromosphere's surface is not plane. Observational Hα data for some ropes arising at flares were considered. Energies of the current were determined and parameters of the MHD stability of ropes were estimated.
