A method for interpretation of eclipsing light curves of dwarf novae is proposed, taking into account the influence of the hot spot situated in the outer part of the disk-like envelope surrounding the white dwarf. This method is applied to the system Z Cha in quiet and active stages. It is shown that the optical luminosity of the hot spot in the system Z Cha in the active stage is 3 - 5 times greater than that in the quiet stage. The radius of the disk-like envelope in the active stage is more than twice greater than that in the quiet stage.
