A search has been conducted for periodicities in the OH parent production rate of comet P/Halley, deduced from the Nancay radio observations between January and April 1986. Over the range of periods 1-10 days, there is clear evidence for periodicities between 5.8 and 7.7 days, but nothing at 2.2 days. A large periodic variation is present in the January data at 7.1 + or - 0.4 days. The radio light curve was not stationary from mid March to early May: periodicities occur near 6.0 and 7.2 days with the IAR data added to the Nancay data. Merging the January and April series leads to three possible periods with a 0.10 day uncertainty: (1) 6.82 days (prograde rotation); (2) 7.07 days; and (3) 7.33 days (prograde or retrograde rotation or 180 deg phase step). The January and April radio light curves have similar shapes. An attempt was made to compare them and relate them to the optical light curves pre- and postperihelion.
