Spatial wavenumber spectra of velocity and brightness fluctuations in solar photospheric spectral lines have been studied with particular attention to the range of spatial scales from 1arcsec.5 to 0arcsec.8, where the coherence of the spectra drops significantly. The author has found good coherence of brightness and outward velocity in the low photosphere to k-values of at least 8 Mm-1. At higher wavenumbers, the fluctuations are still correlated and an evidence of turbulent motions is not seen. Loss of coherence at high wavenumbers is likely to be caused by internal gravity waves.
