Broadband photometric observations of the W UMa systems V523 Cas and CC Com have been carried out using the 60-cm reflector telescope of the Shternberg Astronomical Institute Southern Station, together with the 48-cm reflector of the Shternberg High-Altitude Station at Alma Ata, USSR. Mean B-V colors measured for V523 Cas are given in addition to the photometric orbital elements derived from spot-free light curves. It is shown that the long-term fluctuations in the light curves and B-V colors of V523 and CC Com are due to cool starspots on the surface of the primary component.
