The results on determinations of the sense of rotation of the spirals in 132 galaxies are presented. 107 spirals have revealed trailing arms while NGC 3786 and NGC 5426, both in pairs with their companion spirals NGC 3788 and NGC 5427, have shown leading arms. A total of 190 objects constitute the current sample of galaxies with determined sense of spiral rotation. Only four of them are inferred to have leading arms, evidently due to dynamical interaction with companion galaxies. A mechanism of excitation of the leading pattern is suggested and discussed.
