Magnitudes of V 1500 Cygni (Nova Cygni 1975) determined from plates obtained with an 18.75-cm telescope are presented. During the period from July 1917 to August 1975, the star was fainter than 12.6-14.3 magnitudes. The further post-maximum evolution of the star up to June 1976 has been traced on twenty-two plates specially obtained to determine the brightness of the nova.
