Processing of the earth's geomagnetic field measured by the 'Interkosmos-Kopernik 500' satellite is described, as well as a method for determination of satellite orientation. The method consists of calculating the parameters of the orthogonal transformation which connects the model geomagnetic field with the field measured by a system of three magnetometers on the satellite. The transformation enables determination of satellite orientation in relation to any system of coordinates.
