Answering criticisms, earlier findings of a small-scale angular structure and night-to-night variations in the polarized component of zodiacal light near the Gegenschein (the antisolar point) are reasserted. Misapplications of terminology, limited statistical accuracy of some other observations, and faulty comparisons made between diverse sets of data have been suggested to account for alleged conflicts with other experiments. The contention that the findings could not have been determined by ground-based observations is refuted, and the techniques of observation and data reduction used to obtain the results are defended.
