A total eclipse of the Sun occurred around Java on June 11, 1983. During this solar eclipse, rapid-interval limited scan special observation was made every six minutes from 0420Z and a total of 10 images was obtained. As a result of the observation, a dark spot, which is the shadow of the Moon projected on the Earth surface, is seen in every visible picture and the spot is found to move from west to east. The dark spot can be recognized more clearly using the enhanced visible pictures.
