The light curve of the variable central star of NGC 2346 has been observed in 1983 January and shows substantial changes compared with 1982. It has been estimated that the end of 1981 November represents the beginning of the present eclipsing behavior with photometric period P = 15.957 day. The slope of the (V, B - V) relation is interpreted as the ratio R = 6.6 of total to selective extinction which may arise in a dust cloud moving from the planetary nucleus.
