Models of the solar convective zone were obtained on the basis of mixing length theory. On the internal boundary these models agree with the Abraham-Iben (1971) model of the solar internal structure, while on the external boundary they agree with the HSRA, HOLMU, and VAL 80 semiempirical models and with Nelson's (1978) theoretical two-dimensional model. Calculated velocities of rising convective elements are compared with observed ones.
