Radio recombination-line observations at about 318 MHz are reported. H274-alpha lines were detected in the directions of the H II regions W51B and W49A. The hydrogen line observed toward W51B probably originates in an extended low-density H II region which is positionally associated with smaller discrete H II regions in that source. The hydrogen emission observed toward W49A probably arises in a source located about half the distance to the discrete H II region W49A. No carbon lines were detected at 274-alpha. The upper limits on the carbon line emission, together with previous observations of the C II regions at these positions at 430 MHz, suggest that a turnover in the C-line intensity occurs between 248-alpha and 274-alpha. These data, when reduced for comparison with available LTE departure coefficients, indicate electron densities of 0.2 to 0.5 per cu cm for these C II regions.
