We propose a scheme for including final state interaction effects in the
Glauber model for nucleon removal reactions. This scheme can faciltate
the extraction of astrophysical factors from proton removal reactions of
weakly bound nuclei as an indirect method for nuclear astrophysics, as
well as the study of unbound neutron rich nuclei.
