This paper explores the bizarre possibility of near instantaneous, unlabored space ship transitions between slower-than-light (STL) and faster-than-light (FTL) speed by modeling such transitions as tardyon and tachyon wave packet rotations in a deeper than 4-D space-time realm. This realm's deeper dimensionality gives added room and degrees of freedom for momentum and energy-conserving STL-FTL transitions that leave ship dynamical state unchanged. So, instead of ship or flight medium energies being expended and dissipated within 4-D space-time, they are transferred into the added ship degrees of freedom and modes of being that this deeper-than-4D cosmos allows.
