A model of radio emission from the millisecond pulsar PSR 1937+214 is proposed. The emission region is expected to lie very close to the polar cap surface, where the contribution of the quadrupole component to the actual magnetic field may be significant. It is argued that the interpulse as well as the main pulse are emitted from the same magnetic pole.
