Photographic photometry for 545 stars in the metal-poor globular cluster M22 has allowed its position at the main sequence to be determined as V = 17.5 + or - 0.2 and B-V = 0.66 + or - 0.03. On the basis of these values, intrinsic M(V) and (B-V)zero values of 4.0 and 0.34, respectively, are derived. For the cluster as a whole, a distance modulus (m-M)v of 13.50 + or - 0.15 and a reddening E(B-V) of 0.32 + or 0.03 are obtained. A larger than normal uncertainty in the 14.5 + or - 4 Gys age deduced is due to the difficulty of evaluating the reddening to the cluster, and to the spread in, or uncertainty of, the Fe/H abundance ratio.
