The 26-inch and 13-inch refractor telescopes of the Royal Greennwich
Observatory are used to determine the positions of 65 quasars with an
accuracy of about 0.1 arcsec. The main purpose of the program within
which the present work was undertaken is the derivation of data for
comparing the optical and radio astrometric reference frames.
