Metal Content: Late-Type Giants, Metal Content: Methods Of Reduction
Scientific paper
A new method of estimating the metallicity from low resolution spectrum is introduced. This method is performed with the help of a principal component analysis. The estimated metallicities through this method are consistent with those obtained from high resolution spectra. This result indicates that this method is useful at least in the range of late-type giants.
