Scientific paper

This work shows how pyrimidic nucleobases (uracil, cytosine, etc.) can
be formed under abiotic conditions from the UV irradiation of pyrimidine
in astrophysical ices. The formation mechanisms and the photo-stability
of such compounds are discussed.
