Over a period of six years photoelectric observations of 5 Ser and ο Aql in the V and B spectral bands have been conducted. The spectral type of both stars is F8 V. Frequent small amplitude light variations (Δm = 0.02 mag) and a number of major outbursts (Δm = 0.1 mag) have been recorded. The two stars have also been observed spectroscopically and their radial velocities derived.
