A method for producing high power zone plates holographically by using laser light and photoresist layers is reported. These plates can be used as imaging systems in X-ray astronomy and X-ray microscopy. Zone plate combinations, aberrations, and particular methods to correct spherical aberration are discussed. Some types of manufactured zone plates and their possible applications are described.
