Scientific paper

New polarimetry VLBA images of the BL Lac object BL 0300+470 at 5 GHz (1995.33) and 8 GHz (1994.95) are presented. The source shows a variable compact, one-side core jet structure. The magnetic fields indicated by the polarization position-angles of the components appear to be parallel to the jet at the position of the inner knot at the 5 GHz band and to be predominantly transverse to the jet direction in the core region at 8 GHz band, which is typical of the core region polarization in BL Lac objects.
