Subaru is an 8.2 m optical-infrared telescope located at the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. We have started its open use for general astronomers in December, 2000. The public relations team at the Subaru telescope has been displaying various activities since its first light in early 1999. In this article I will introduce three Subaru lectures which we, under co-sponsorship of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, arranged for the local people.
