The helium abundance is determined in the atmospheres of about 100 stars of types O6.5-B2 which are either members of O-associations and young clusters or field stars. It is shown that the helium abundance tends to increase with increasing age of the corresponding cluster or association. For an age of the order of several million years, the value of N(He)/N(H) is 0.09 to 0.10; for an age of about 15 million years, the value is 0.13. The latter value is also characteristic of hot field stars.
