Operating antennas of high directivity requires the exact knowledge of the difference between the direction of the antenna beam center and the direction indicated by the readout devices. This difference can be measured by radio stars and used for calibrating the position encoders. A method was developed for obtaining antenna position errors. The antenna was scanned across numerous points of the radio star trajectory. Misalignment was provided by a computer program. The measurements were performed with the 34-m-paraboloid antenna Werthhoven; Cassiopeia A was used as radio source. Considering numerous sources of errors, including the errors of radio star coordinates, pointing-error diagrams were obtained for azimuth angles between approximately 305 and 55 deg, respectively, elevation angles between approximately 20 and 82 deg with an rms of approximately 0.002 deg.
