A systematic search for certain objects (NGC and IC galaxies, all galaxies with a diameter larger than about one minute, all disturbed galaxies, all star clusters in the Budapest Catalogue, and all listed planetary nebulae) is being carried out by means of the ESO (B) Atlas, covering the southern sky from -90 to -20 deg. The present paper contains the third list of objects in 80 fields. A total of 2280 objects are listed; about 70% of these for the first time.
