After our report (ATel #3347) of recent NIR activity in B21144+40, a z-1.088 QSO also known as CGRaBS J1146+3958, we have follow the luminosity evolution of this object, and we report now a fast increase in flux in a eight day period. On JD2455693.717975, we determined its flux to correspond to H = 13.439 ± 0.05, while on JD2455701.794745, the flux was 12.269 ± 0.05. That is an increase of a factor of 3 in a short period of time.
