Stellar radial-velocity standards ought to have constant radial velocities, but here we present an orbit for one of them (HD 14969) which is still listed as an IAU standard although the variability of its velocity was pointed out some years ago. This is the first plausible orbit ever published for an IAU radial-velocity standard, and should be useful to people who have used HD 14969 as a standard star.
