From visual observations of Pallas made in 1982 and 1987 the linear portion of the phase curve is described by the relationship V(1,a) = (4.34+0.26) + (0.035+0.019)a, where V(1,a) is the absolute visual magnitude at phase angle a and 4.34 is the absolute visual magnitude V(1, 0). The limitations in the accuracy of the 1987 data set due to the restricted range of phase angles covered are also considered.
