During a balloon observation of Cygnus X-3, an intensity variation has been found which is in phase with the low-energy X-ray 4.8-hour sinusoidal light curve. The measured relative amplitude in the energy range from 32 to 64 keV is 0.37 (+0.31, -0.29). Compared with the results at lower energies, there is no indication for an energy dependence of the relative amplitude up to 64 keV. The encountered low-intensity source spectrum is compared with previous measurements.
