R Aqr is a binary system consisting of a Mira Ceti star and a hot companion with an unusual nebular line spectrum. Variations of the period of R Aqr are compared with variations of the radial velocities of nebular lines in the spectrum of the companion. After elimination of secular variations, a periodic oscillation was noted in the variation of (O-C) with elements: Max (O-C)1 = JD 2441232+8785d.14.E1 (P1 = 24a.07).
