The Ariel V sky-survey detectors have been used to study X-ray sources within 15 deg of the galactic plane between 255 and 340 deg galactic longitude. Fourteen new sources have been found, and locations and strengths are derived. Strengths are also given for 27 sources discovered in previous surveys which have been definitely detected by Ariel V. Ten previously detected sources were not visible in the present survey. One new source is possibly associated with the variable star Eta Carinae or with a nearby supernova remnant.
