Observations of this dK3 spectroscopic binary in the red part of the spectrum show that it is double-lined. Analysis of the radial velocities of the primary and secondary yields a mass ratio m2/m1 = 0.837 plus or minus 0.004 and orbital elements for the primary that confirm the results of Griffin and Emerson. Photometric observations show that it is improbable that HD 45088 has eclipses. The photometry is used to estimate a spectral type of K5 for the secondary.
