Numerous errors have been found in Dixon's Master List of radio sources (MLRS) using a few easily recognizable patterns, like e.g. gathering all frequencies in 25 narrow bands and listing all the non-standard ones, or comparing a source's 4C-name with its declination, etc.. In this sense this list is far from a complete check of errors in the MLRS, like e.g. flux densities possibly copied erroneously from literature. According to Dixon (1989, priv.comm.) these errors have NOT been corrected in the most recent (43rd) version of the Master List, dated Nov. 1981.
