The basic statistics for IR emission from paired galaxies are analyzed,
using the catalog of galaxy pairs assembled by Karachentsev (1972). The
correlation of the IRAS detection fraction with optical properties is
examined, showing that the detection fraction is enhanced for pairs
which contain late-type galaxies.
