Polarimetry from 0.65 to 2.2 microns is reported for a position in the disk of the well-known edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 4565. In terms of the extinction implied by the J-K color, the polarization at 2.2 microns is as high as would be found in the Milky Way, indicating that the magnetic field geometry in NGC 4565 is at least as ordered as in the Milky Way. The position angle is constant at all wavelengths, indicating that the magnetic field geometry in the disk of NGC 4565 is nearly constant along the entire path through the disk.
