The object of this paper is to describe the hypothesis that the origin and evolution of orbit-orbit resonance among natural satellites are due to the result of the dissipation of tidal energy, and to give a review of some theories proposed by various authors in the study of the evolution of three famous resonant pairs among Saturnian satellites. In addition, some deficiencies of these theories have been pointed out.
